FEEL GOOD MUSIC

REGGAE MUSIC

Hello everyone, I’ve always been asked by friends about the music I often listen. Reggae has been my favorite genre since I was very young. Listening to it helped me relax, bring instant happiness and the lyrics bring a positive outlook to my life. Bob Marley is my inspiration, his music and his desire to bring people together make him an admirable man. He was one of the greatest ambassadors of peace in the world. Among my favorites are: Ziggy Marley, Damian Marley, Toots and the Maytals, Abyssinians, Los Cafres, Massilia Sound System, Los Pericos and Gondwana.

THE AMAZON

I feel grateful everyday for the life I have, I also feel grateful for the opportunities I get everyday. I was lucky enough to visit the Amazon for the first time. Even though I’m Peruvian and I should’ve done it a while ago, I didn’t and when the opportunity to visit came I didn’t think twice. The Amazon rainforest is filled with beauty, love and life.
The Amazon covers not only the largest tropical forest remaining in the world; It is also home to at least 10% of the world ‘s known biodiversity , including endemic flora and fauna and endangered. The Amazon river represents between 15% and 16 % of the total river discharge to the oceans of the world. The river flows along more than 6,600 km and contains the largest species of freshwater fish in the world. Equally impressive is the immeasurable number of mammals , birds, amphibians and reptiles that can be found throughout the biome.
There’s so much to see, feel and taste. The Amazon rainforest is a gift that should be appreciated. I highly recommend everyone to visit it at least once.

MY SENSORY DEPRIVATION EXPERIENCE

I’m always looking for new ways to balance my mind, body and soul. I found balance, relaxation and peace of mind at a float center in Brooklyn where I had my first experience in a sensory deprivation tank.  A sensory deprivation tank is basically a tank filled with water that also integrates enough Epsom salt to allow you to float on the water’s surface. With the water at skin temperature and with 1000 pounds of Epsom salt in the water, your mind is free of distraction and your body is free of gravity. While being in total darkness your imagination can run wild.

HALLOWEEN AT COSM

Hello everyone,

We spent our halloween at COSM (The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors) by Alex and Alysson Grey. I love visiting Cosm because the atmosphere is always unique. Who wouldn’t have a great time when you are surrounded by happy people, dancers, painters, awesome DJs, etc. I mean is just great to be here  and I totally recommend you to visit it for any of their events such as the solstice, equinox or full moon events. The theme of the party was Demons and Deities. I can’t describe it, just check the pics and videos and you’ll know what I’m talking about.

Good Vibes!

FOR THE LOVE OF FALL

Hello lovely humans,

I would like to share with you some pictures from a shoot I did with a photographer I love. Her style is great, her vibes are contagious and she is very very sweet. We did this shoot on a cold afternoon on the beach, we are in the east coast and October is definitely cold. It was fun overall, I got to relax, have tea and sushi afterwards and enjoy an empty beach just for us.

I also got to use my beautiful Handira or also called “Moroccan wedding blanket” by Atlas Secrets. I loved wearing it, so cozy and perfect for this season. If you don’t know what Handiras are let me tell you a bit about them.  Handers are given as a gift to a bride. They are made with love by the bride’s female family members for her to wear and carry to her new house. While making the blanket they sing beautiful songs, this is why it is believed that Handiras will protect the bride from the evil eye and bring her good luck and fortune. The blankets are also used by westerns as a decorative item or accessory, I respect their tradition but love also using it in a different way. Big thanks to Naljae that taught me a bit of her culture.
